One of the tasks that we ask all customers, whether on a project to implement SAP B1 initial or already in use, is the burden of external data from Excel. Users are accustomed to working with the productivity tools, and sometimes it is more comfortable dealing with data in spreadsheets than not in their own ERP. While we always try to make the customer data used to working within the system, it is useful to know the 3 ways we have in SAP B1 to import data: Data Transfer Workbench
- (DTW) : tool to import all type information (master data, configuration data and transactions / documents.)
- DI API: Using the SDK SAP Business One can schedule scripts / macros that allow to import Excel data to our ERP.
- Standard: There is a standard feature that allows basic import master data from IC's, articles and price lists.
In today's post we will focus on the third option, which offers a very quick and simple way of importing price lists. To do so, we follow the following steps: Open
- form located in .
- display in the field Import Data Type the value "Articles."
- Select for the value column "Item"
- Seleccioanr for the column B value "price list code"
- The system automatically populate the rows C and D.
- Click the OK button.
- The system then prompts you to choose the file from which we import data. We select and give the "Open" button.
We leave a video tutorial that will guide the process and will help to prepare the Excel for import.
Remember that you can also see the video on our YouTube channel .
