How Long Do Lilypadz Stay On For

The cloud (the cloud) and the ERP's

Introduction Today we can say that the concept of Cloud Computing is already mature. It has been more than 10 years since R. Chellappa gave its first definition in 1997 in Dallas , and it only failure to perform a search in Google (53.5 million it tickets 22/03/2011) or Amazon (books he 22/03/2011 9212.00) to realize that we are not in front of a new and unknown.

So what is Cloud Computing? Forrester defines it as:

A standard IT capabilities (services, software or infrastructure) served via Internet, on a pay per use mode, self-service.

Following this definition it is not therefore a technology, if not a new business model that involves us a new way to invest in IT.

The post discuss how we can apply this model business to the ERP project. To do this we will see the different costs that compose it and how we can have a business model of payment for Internet use through each of them.

Cost of ERP project

could

The cost is broken down into three categories: Infrastructure

  • hardware.
  • License.
    • additional software licenses (Operating System, Database, ...).
    • ERP license.
  • Services. Infrastructure hardware

Currently, Internet service providers (ISP's) thanks in part to virtualization technologies can provide hardware infrastructure as payment for use. This infrastructure, which are usually hosted in data centers designed to provide such services, has a monthly cost based on the physical characteristics of contracted hardware (disk space, memory, processor speed, bandwidth, etc ...). Licensing

license costs can also be purchased through pay per use, but it always depends on how you determine licensing the software manufacturer.

additional software licenses

Manufacturers operating systems and database models offer pay-as-business over the Internet. For example, Microsoft offers pay-per-use models in both operating systems (Windows Server 2008) and in their databases (Microsoft SQL Server 2008) as well as its productivity solution (Microsoft Office).

such licenses usually have a monthly cost per user using the software. Licensing

ERP

ERP manufacturers are also offering betting licenses using this business model. Some already are offering, while the rest either finishing touches to its release or have it in mind for future versions. What is clear, in any case is that nobody wants to be left out.

Services

services of an ERP implementation are also likely to be made in a pay per use over the Internet. To better identify these types of services we will identify:

  • Consulting.
  • Programming.
  • Training.
  • Support.

Consulting and

programming model and programming consulting business in the cloud is still a little green. Usually software development processes require interaction with users, who must communicate their needs to the consultant. For that reason, it is advisable to observe and analyze the business processes of enterprises in their work environment fitness.

At this point we can not fully translate the business model to the cloud, but we can support with some existing technologies such as video conferencing or remote support for portions of the work using this model.

Training on-line training is a widespread model that we apply in the case of ERP's. In this If the manufacturers of the ERP's offer on-line training of their products, either through real-time sessions or through tutorials recorded and distributed through its media platforms. This online training can be included in the license fee or require an additional payment.

This is a clear example of service in the cloud that currently has a wide penetration, without going further in education.

Support Support can be obtained through the "cloud" from several sources:

  • The software manufacturer that can offer its customers systems help-desk in which to find information about their systems and consult on them.
  • The partner that distributes the software, which can have similar platforms to the manufacturer supplemented with webinars (seminars over the Internet) or newsletters.
  • software users, generates information on the ERP through blogs, forums and / or social networks that tend to offer solutions to common questions. Conclusion

An ERP project can be addressed in a pay per use over the Internet, but we must bear in mind that there is a valid model. Thus, each project must be analyzed individually, assessing which parts of it can be addressed in a business model of pay per use.

Tribal

Las Terrenas begins to enjoy the benefits of joint action,
expensive but pays for errors of choice and omission.

In the esoteric world of ideals there is what might be called "the perfect leader" revealed 1) in the manner in which the leader or the leader leads, 2) how his followers to abide by and comply with established guidelines and 3) the results of actions performed under such leadership. If the world were perfect we were full of good partnerships and effective actions of employees and managers who know what they do and enjoy doing, as we would enjoy the presence of exemplary leaders, which would make us feel satisfied and proud. As said earlier these things are esoteric and idealistic.

science scholars of leadership have taken refuge in established trends by the gurus of the field. 30 years ago was the era of Tom Peters (In Search of Excellence ) who claimed that the best way to solve the problems was with as little bureaucracy as possible, empowering managers in each of their areas to achieve organizational success . Zig Ziglar (Performance Top ) transformed the lives of many managers with phrases such as "your attitude not your aptitude that will determine your altitude."

More recently authors such as Peter Senge (The Fifth Discipline ) talk about the ideas, processes and strategies for an organization to learn, achieve do more with less, achieving more than what is sought and sharing successful leadership at all levels, not only in the one above. But Senge, who was director at the famed Boston MIT Organizational Learning Center, stresses that effective organizational learning enables the organization to avoid repeating their mistakes and learn from itself and others to do what you need to make best possible way.

Surrounded as we are of presidential leadership styles, autocratic and centralized chieftaincies difficult to think that in Las Terrenas high ideals may be implemented management and leadership. Many believe that this county retajila moves like a cow in the streets following a lame one-eyed bull that leads to self-destruction. Groups are only now beginning to empower people with ideas and their problems, seeking solutions in the best way they can, but often do not know the resources at their disposal or used to know so ineffective and counterproductive (eg, burning rubber for landfill protest smoke).

Unfortunately
Mayor Joseph Alexis continues
The cat sticks a
erratic leadership style,
corrupt and ineffective.
All muddy.
Just look around to see how the actions of a person or a few, so terribly affected so many of us, regardless of socio-economic status, age, color, national , ethnicity, name or gender. Be the landfill, walkways and curbs, traffic, finance, sports, culture, basic services are all mired in mediocrity. No one and nothing escapes. I am convinced that Mediocrity is the most democratic of pests that affect our community.

One of the latest trends in the issue of leadership is that which speaks of "tribal leader" mode that allows people to pursue noble causes driven by values, which becomes a magnet that attracts the best talent and best ideas, which is sought by all instead of being rejected, which causes people to work in good spirits and giving their best, which causes people to never give up but who wants to work and serve through the organization. As an example, imagine that we had in Las Terrenas municipal leadership that is the envy of all, that we all wish to be part of what is happening, that everything you touch turn to gold, creating models and guidelines enviable national and international levels, and maximum use efficiently the resources and talents available to all and everywhere. That is a dream.

That leadership is "tribal" simply because it operates closer to the people, takes care of people first and people recognized as a leading "natural", not by force or concealment or muddy. Although it sounds ideal and esoteric truth is that, dammit!, it would be good to enjoy such leadership in our midst.

I believe that mediocrity is the most democratic of pests that affect our community because it affects us all / as alike.

What article of the Constitution is written that we must suffer in our health, our families and our community, the consequences of incompetent actions, absurd, non-transparent and corrupt our leaders in office?

Fukushima's 50

Fukushima nuclear plant where the explosion occurred
Fukushima of Japan is the city where a nuclear plant exploded on the day following the earthquake in Sendai on March 11 . The prefecture (province) of Fukushima is only around 750 km ² in extent, or about 100 km ² unless Samaná, however there are 390.000 inhabitants, or 200,000 more than in our province. The distance between Fukushima and Tokyo, the capital of Japan, is 250 km, about the same distance from Santa Barbara de Samana and Santo Domingo on the highway new.

Preparing to enter the reactor.

The explosions were so many people feared not only by the 390.000 inhabitants in Fukushima, but also for the 36 million people in Tokyo and the many other millions elsewhere in the world. Radiation leaks from the plant came to Korea and the West Coast of the United States within 48 hours. Have revealed potentially lethal damage in areas near the plant but the whole truth before long known as occurred with the Chernobyl accident in Ukraine on April 26, 1986, considered the worst history.

There is something important and transcendent in the way that prevented a much larger disaster. When not managed to cool the reactor by any means known mechanical arose "the 50 Fukushima," so named because 200 volunteers have offered to fight the disaster and were divided into shifts of 50 people each. These 200 people are totally anonymous, some are believed to be employees and retirees of the plant belonging to the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), and some details have surfaced because some families have written in blogs and the press, revealing some of the realities and anxieties.
Fukushima Family

A Clarín.com press release reveals the words of a relative: "My father was a nuclear plant. I had never heard my mother mourn much. But he had never been so proud of him. Daddy please, come back alive. "This he said the daughter of a retired employee, who deemed it his duty to go to help, along with firefighters and police, to avoid a major disaster knowing they might be killed when exposed to lethal amounts of radiation.

Japanese society and many others in the world now recognize as heroes knowing that without the efforts of all of them entering the area of the reactor to add water, filter polluted and extinguish other possible damage, we could today be mourning the death of millions.

A community can have men and women as the 200 is very happy. Note that the Japanese government itself demanded, under pain of fines and convictions, the 200 volunteers who do not leave the plant, which means they are virtually doomed to die. All of them, male and female volunteers, who are paid less than $ 150 a day for that job, they knew they could not get out alive of the situation, but still did so thinking of the greater good, for the good of the community of the world. Acts and ennoble the human race and make us partakers of an example worthy of emulation.
Aaron with "Girl" in the library.

This past week we stayed with my childhood friend Constance, Mr. Joseph Abraham Abud. Came from Pennsylvania where he lives to travel the same steps as he gave his son Aaron, who volunteered in the Library Anacaona last September and who sadly died just 18 years old, following a motor accident while visiting his Constance family. On Friday afternoon, with a group of 12 volunteers from Minnesota, who came to help finish the playground of children in public school, we hung a picture of Aaron in which he was seen playing football in the multipurpose children Las Terrenas. Joseph Abraham could not hold back tears as she told the children present at the ceremony how happy I was giving Aaron his bit to these people. His family paid too high a sacrifice, not for sale. They are paying the families of the 200 volunteers from Fukushima. Faced with such examples

must take off his hat and suck, pure and simple, to be able to do for our community even a chin chin chin than they gave to his people and the world "all 50 of Fukushima."

Removing Temp Visitor On A Driver's Licence

Poisoning

If you feel curious, smoke has been seen for many weeks (and years) comes mainly from burning garbage in the landfill. The burning may be intentional but not necessarily. The methane gas resulting from the fermentation of organic matter is 50% of emissions of gases produced in landfills. Gas is explosive and cause accidental fires that occur in landfills. This gas and anhydride carbon dioxide produced during burning of waste, are primarily responsible for global warming or greenhouse effect. Other gases emitted from landfills are vinyl chloride, benzene, methyl chloride, trichlorethylene and toxic or carcinogenic effects. If you get headaches, feel faint or that scratches the throat and nose is caused by químcos those invisible that can cause discomfort, expenditure on medicines and, frankly, to death.

During the fire accidental or deliberate release into the atmosphere are highly toxic substances such as dioxins, chlorinated products when burned, especially plastic polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in wide use (food and beverage containers, packaging, toys, pipes, etc.).. All those white plastic cups and plates when burned in landfills produce toxic and carcinogenic substances. If you would like to wear glasses and dishes such remember that when the garbage starts to be burned at the dump and they will return to you in the form of airborne chemicals that can cause cancer. It is best not to use or buy.

Following the burning of chlorinated products, it also emits hydrochloric acid, which causes respiratory and irritation of mucous membranes. Lead, cadmium and mercury are heavy metals in landfill leachate (water and debris coming down from the dump). The lead comes mainly from car batteries and electronics, plastics, glass, ceramics, pigments, etc. Lead causes brain damage in children and hypertension in adults. Mercury causes neurological and kidney damage. ( Left, mercury is death ).

sources are mainly cadmium and mercury batteries. Now, watch, batteries usually contain mercury and lead. A quantity of mercury equal to a grain of sand is enough to contaminate an Olympic swimming pool full. All those beterías watches, telephones, flashlights, radio (AA and AAA) usually contain mercury and end up in our landfill.

The water running down the canyons and that filters through the earth goes to the river, the sea, the tripe, the patio, wells and home. That mercury can produce permanent damage and chronic diseases, plus the cost of medicines. By the way, one gallon of used motor oil contaminates one million gallons of water, so when you see washing car engines or in the ravines and river imagine the impact on their health and the environment. ( Right, open dump ).

is, in the smoke coming from the landfill by burning trash voluntary or involuntary are chemicals that can cause cancer and / or respiratory problems in children, the elderly and people in general. ;

If you've been itching the throat, nose or felt a little dizzy, and if even the taste of food has changed is likely due to high levels of chemicals damaging that you have absorbed from the air. When in the air not only affect the poor or those living in the La Granja, but that affects local, foreigners, residents, tourists, the cars, trees and people. are deposited on their tables, chairs, pillows, your bed, in the yard, the leaves of trees, in the car and the air you breathe that no seen. is slow and inevitable poisoning.

And we have not mentioned anything about people burning trash in yards, streets and lots in our neighborhoods.

The use of landfill is the responsibility of the City. If you just read is concerned then you know where to go to claim that action is taken thereon.

Organiztional Chart Of Font Office

Open Pit Country Rico (one of many messages )

Received in my mail, is worth reading and pondering. You'll see why.

> Subject: RD rich country >
> Letter from a friend from the U.S. (a "poor"), a resident in the DR (a country "rich")
>
> Someone sent a friend who lives in USA an email with a question: Why are we poor Dominicans?

> This was his answer from the U.S.:
>
> Hello, is that trees do not see the forest ... How can poor call when you are able to pay for a gallon of gasoline more than triple what I pay, and when you give yourself the luxury of paying the tariffs of electricity, cell phone and 80% more expensive than it cost me to me?
>
> How can you call yourself poor when you pay commissions for banking services and credit cards three times what they cost us here, or by a car that cost me $ 2,000 you can pay the equivalent of $ 20,000 or more?
> Why yes you may be pleased to give him thousands of dollars the government and not us? DO NOT UNDERSTAND!

> We, the people of Florida, we are poor. So the state government, given our precarious financial situation for us? only 2% of ITBI (plus another 4% is Federal, total = 6%) and 16% do not like you rich people living in the Dominican Republic. Furthermore, it is you who have "Luxury Tax" such as oil and gas taxes, alcohol, cigars, cigarettes, beer, wine, tickets, etc. reaching up to 320% of original value, and others such as Income Tax, Tax on New Cars, Property Tax, Personal Property Tax of Enterprises Tax, write a check and more of an endless list .

> and happy to still have the luxury of paying a 16% of ITBI for these taxes, plus all the paperwork and national and local payments, more bites employees of public offices or the ever present buscones. Because if you were not rich, what would be having a national tax that caliber? "POOR?, Where?. A country that is able to collect INCOME TAX AND PERSONAL PROPERTY necessarily have to swim in abundance, because it considers that the affairs of the nation and all its inhabitants can always make money despite looting and assaults, bites, hurricanes, drought, corruption everywhere, looting and flooding fiscal and of course certain that all must earn a lot. The poor are we who live in USA and NOT pay income tax if they earn less than $ 3,000 a month per person. You have also Garbage Tax, Consumption Tax Water, Gas and Electricity. And there paying private security (watchmen) in banks, municipal housing estates, private residences, businesses and others., While we settle for the public.

> There, in the Dominican Republic to send their children to private schools, and see if we will be poor here in the U.S., public schools provide us with the expectation that textbooks do not have to what to buy. Sometimes it amazes me the wealth of the Dominicans who ask for a loan either, and are able to pay the modest 3% monthly interest, minimum, and play every day in thousands of known establishments such as banks, which are also the only Businesses that do not pay taxes.

> Not like here, we just got to 8% annually (usually 7.8%), precisely because we are not able to pay more. I guess as all rich, they have a car and is paying a 16% annual tax on insurance, if it is "full" is about $ 800. If it's information, I paid only $ 245 for year .. And they have money, you can afford to pay carers forced in parking lots, parking meters, etc., While here we can not afford such luxuries and pay $ 15 per year to STICKER no matter what model of car you drive, but of course this is for people resources. ESO ES SER RICO! Be rich is, have multimillion-dollar political campaigns than those of European countries and thousands of aldermen, mayors, hundreds of ambassadors and counselors of embassies, consuls and vice consuls say no, to which the revenues for visas goes to their pockets. Deputies and Senators, each with an NGO that does not know what .... Secretaries and Assistant Secretaries mounted in Jeeps, all his sycophants and bodyguards, with sophisticated weapons and an army general who have luxury homes in Cap Cana, there are trustees and members, let alone those of the famous "House Accounts" which earned more than the Prime Minister, as the Dominican Republic is the only country in the world in which every officer is self assigned his salary.

> All this in a small country that has the luxury of having 32 provinces in just 48.000 square kilometers, as if it were four times larger, and a capital with four mayors (Santo Domingo East, West, North and DN) and that this government is the largest employer, where employees or do nothing or are not at work, but take your check religiously on 25, which is an indication that this is an extremely rich. ESO ES SER RICO! We are the poor like me, who we came to try their luck in America. Well, I send you a hug and there then tell me how they go with the new budget, which is certain is that they increase the salary, but there will be more taxes. But do not worry, that inflation is going to dilute. But hey, that's not important when you have the money to pay them. And rest assured that the next discourse, we will give a tremendous round of applause for the president.
>
> Also, that's what we pay for living, "the best in the world, where people feel safe and are the happiest on the planet", as seen here in RD tourist ads on

>
> END
>
> The Dominicans are so rich that pay the following tax structure:
>
>
> 1.
ITBIS 16%> 2. 10% of the Selective Consumption
> 3.
Telecommunications 2%> 4. , 22% of Income Tax.
> 5. 25% of additional income or bonus.
> 6. 15% as Lottery Prize, Lotos, Raffles, Etc.
> 7. 40% Fuel
> 8. 13% Customs
> 9. 0.15% Bank transfers
> 10.
2.87% AFP> 11. 3.4 % ARS
> 12. 7% monthly (84% per year) on credit cards.
> 13. Between 22% - 36% in personal loans
> 14. Between 12 to 18% for mortgage, where the economic rationale for the type of loan and the term charged rates below 2 digits.

> 15. On top of this, pay for private schools, buy water tanks (have tank or well) and religiously paying the water, inverter, batteries (have emergency plan) and pay the most expensive light world, to ensure everyone's safety by gaining possession and carrying of firearms, they charge you very high values for all services that the state should give you (for the birth certificate, permits, certificates of firefighters, police, local councils , cemetery, card), pay tolls without enjoying good roads, pay for private clinics that the TSS operates where the patient has to pay differences, to pay to use the your property entrance (ramp) for meet up or use the street for community activities, garbage collection when the municipalities have 10% of the budget and receive an item specified by given person registered on the municipality, for all past taxes not serve to provide these basic services efficiently, paying for hotels for beach use, the use of underground water that is under your property and to marry, birth or divorce you have to pay. If you have to go before a judge to defend your rights first have to pay and each end of your rights have to pay (the one without money has no justice), to receive a delayed justice loses its value in the same Supreme Court that works depending on who the claim and says it could protester sentence given for the best manifestation.

Some with as crab, ranging pa'trás, often as the amoeba, malleable and adaptable, often as a fluorescent, switch on and off fast, often as the waves that rise and fall depending on the tide; other like a rocket, rise much until they are not, others are like a well of water, pull the hub deep well to draw something, and others are finely orchestrated as a landscape with valleys and mountains, rivers and lagoons, beaches and wetlands, inspiring sunrises and sunsets and a constant push for development and progress.

Progressive communities and developers are smart cities, not only in their technological capabilities but also their human capacity. At the same time, the only way to preserve and promote the continued development is through the presence of performance standards and by implementing rules that help in implementing those standards. When there is no rules or standards or intelligence we have a continuous chaos, or giddy performance as cows run free.

The jump from chaos to steady and continuous development is complex, but it is possible through the action of a powerful element in any community mainly: the change agent. The change agent is the individual, male or female, interested in the profound transformation of things. Is the person whose vision is geared towards the transformation through ideas, talents, abilities, skills and resources himself or others, putting them in favor of service and the common good.

A change agent is not the person who talks a lot without contributing anything significant, though possessing great wealth or is exalted in social or political position. Nor is the person who solves complex problems with patches in the community. Nor is the person impassive, inert, which lets you search for other solutions or the implementation of plans and projects.

By nature, the change agent does not have all the answers, not all resources, not all ideas. The change agent is not the change itself, but encourages and sponsors the communion of energies between different people but interested in the common good. The change agent uses the experience and knowledge you may have to push and to bring to the analysis of situations of concern, confident that others can take "the bull by the horns", either because they have better qualities or resources more feasible. The central purpose behind the actions of an agent of change is transformation.

Although it may be, the traditional policy is not, by nature, a good agent of change because it tends to be in the center of everything. Neither is the traditional leader, autocratic, covered in a political, social or religious. Best Actor change is a promoter of ideas, strengths, resources and skills in the other, seeking ways to channel them, sometimes through the provocation caused by an idea or a possibility, sometimes by seeking responses to extreme and complex conditions caused by disability and inefficiencies of the prevailing system. Above all, the change agent often start something and leave it in the hands of the most knowledgeable and capable, for true change, a profound transformation, not centered on the actions of one person but in conjunction of the best ideas from the most capable and knowledgeable.

A community without change agents remains in the hands of opportunists and demagogues, or is tied to a course self-destructive. communities, like most things that are left to fend for themselves tend to degenerate, not better. change the course of things requires the continuous action of good agents of change. Today more than ever, Las Terrenas need visionary change agent, brave and true.
